Hi, Y’all. Welcome back to #BuJoFridays!

I was recently told by a friend that she’s hesitant about starting a bullet journal because she wants it to look artsy, but doesn’t know how to write calligraphy like the pros. I thought this was such a shame because I believe anyone can fake being artsy because I, myself, have figured out ways of doing just that.

So today I’m going to be teaching you how to fake calligraphy using nothing but a pen. No fancy calligraphy pens, or brush tip markers.

I’m keeping it simple and showing you how you can make your otherwise normal handwriting look like fancy calligraphy.

It’s all in the down strokes! See how in my video below…

Remember, as with any skill, the more you practice, the better you’ll get at it. So make sure to practice. Practice writing each letter of the alphabet and experiment with different styles. Then try to incorporate them into your bullet journal.

I’d love to see your fake calligraphy, so be sure to show off your new found “art skills” to your friends on Instagram and don’t forget to tag me in the photos so I can see you making your friends jealous of your amazing calligraphy skills.
